tech
Dominic Szablewski has created Xibalba 64, a Wolfenstein 3D-style first-person shooter for the Nintendo 64. Per Adafruit Blog, Szablewski ported his JavaScript game engine to C and built a platform backend using libdragon, the N64 development kit. In testing with the existing game Biolab Disaster, performance was unimpressive using straightforward hardware approaches, but the platform is functional. Modretro has agreed to publish Xibalba 64 as a physical cartridge for their M64 clone, complete with packaging and manual.
