Oak leaves harbor distinct microbial worlds on their opposite surfaces

Phys.org reports that oak leaves host distinct microbial communities on their upper and lower surfaces. What looks like a simple patch of green is, at the microscopic scale, divided into separate ecological territories with different inhabitants.
