Common-ground curriculum boosts tolerance and civic engagement in pilot study

Polarization is deepening, and educators have worked to strengthen social cohesion by having students examine social differences—ethnicity, religion, and nationality. Now, researchers from the University of Konstanz, part of a German-American team, are proposing a different strategy based on a pilot study: center educational programs on universal human values instead.
