Jackie, a beloved bald eagle and livestream star, dies of mysterious illness

Jackie, the bald eagle whose Big Bear Lake livestream drew millions of viewers as she raised chicks, has died at fourteen after a mysterious illness, the Guardian reports. She'd been under treatment at the Ojai Raptor Center since mid-July, when she was found grounded and too weak to fly following a clash with two younger eagles. Center experts diagnosed severe anemia and suspected she'd been ill for weeks before that fight brought her down.
