Clover Moore unveils 4,500 sq metre Sydney plaza design after more than 40 years of planning

After more than four decades of planning, Sydney's Lord Mayor Clover Moore has unveiled designs for a new forty-five hundred square metre public plaza in the CBD, to be built opposite Town Hall. The project will require acquiring and demolishing seven buildings. Per The Guardian, Moore says the square will unify the CBD, though a business advocate has raised concerns about the scale of demolition and the disruption it could bring.
