Bahrain FM congratulates Dar on Makkah defence pact, expresses desire to visit Pakistan

Bahrain's foreign minister called to congratulate Pakistan on the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, signed by Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey. Per Dawn, the pact establishes collective defense—an attack on any signatory is treated as an attack on all. Bahrain's Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani also expressed interest in visiting Pakistan, which Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar welcomed. Dar emphasized Pakistan's commitment to regional dialogue and stability. The agreement has drawn support from the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and several regional partners, including Kuwait and Somalia.
