Iran executes woman who claimed self-defence against sexual assault

Iran has executed twenty-three-year-old Marzieh Nieri at Qazvin Central Prison, after a court rejected her claim that she wounded a man in self-defense during an attempted sexual assault. Euronews reports her death brings the number of women executed in Iran since the start of twenty twenty-six to at least fourteen.
