The Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo has now killed more than two thousand people, officials say. Euronews reports the epidemic began in the country's conflict-affected eastern and northeastern regions, with an official start date of May fifteenth, though it's believed to have been spreading for weeks before that. The ongoing conflict in those areas has complicated efforts to contain the virus.
