Per Phys.org, a University of Queensland Ph.D. candidate named Jessica Hintzsche has created the most detailed genetic map ever made for barramundi, showing how traits pass between generations. Barramundi farmers will soon be able to use this to improve their stock genetics by emphasizing the sex of their breeding fish.
