Economic losses from natural disasters fall to $100 bn in first half of 2026: Swiss Re

Natural disasters caused an estimated one hundred billion dollars in economic losses worldwide during the first half of twenty twenty-six, according to reinsurer Swiss Re. That represents a sharp decline from the same period in twenty twenty-five.
