India probes flight plunge as pilot faces drug test scrutiny

world

An Air India Airbus A320 plunged roughly three hundred feet mid-air on August fourth while flying from Phuket, Thailand to New Delhi, injuring 24 of the 137 people aboard. The flight landed safely, but Indian authorities are investigating. Local media reports say the chief pilot tested positive for marijuana during post-flight screening. Both pilots have been removed from flying duties pending further testing, as Air India rebuilds following recent operational setbacks.
