New CERN measurement challenges conventional models of how gluons behave inside atomic nuclei

Per Phys.org, a University of Kansas physicist played a leading role in a CERN study demonstrating that two rival explanations for gluon behavior inside atomic nuclei can now be experimentally distinguished. Gluons are the fundamental particles binding quarks together.
