Europa's Interior Ocean Could be Harder to Reach Than We Thought

Planetary scientist Lujendra Ojha led a study suggesting Europa's icy shell is a stronger barrier between the moon's subsurface ocean and its surface than previously thought. Per Universe Today, the research implies that future missions to sample the ocean—where microbial life might exist—could face steeper technical challenges than earlier models predicted.
