politics

Darline Graham, appointed to complete her late brother Lindsey Graham's Senate term, has advanced to a runoff in South Carolina's Republican primary, The Guardian reports. She held a narrow lead in Tuesday's special primary and will face an opponent to be determined in the August twenty-fifth runoff. Graham has secured endorsements from Donald Trump, South Carolina's governor Henry McMaster, and Senate majority leader John Thune, though Congressmen Russell Fry and Ralph Norman and former governor Mark Sanford polled within striking distance in the initial contest.
