Pakistan, Norway reaffirm resolve to strengthen bilateral ties, expand engagement in defence and security

world

Norway's foreign minister is in Pakistan for the first high-level visit in over a decade. According to Dawn, Espen Barth Eide met with Pakistan's military leadership to discuss expanding defense and security cooperation. But the real focus of the visit is Pakistan's mediating role in the US-Iran conflict. The visit also addressed economic growth: Pakistan's IT exports to Norway have grown more than five-fold in the last two years.
