Alan Jones, the veteran Sydney broadcaster formerly of 2UE and 2GB, is on trial facing twenty-two charges of indecent assault and sexual touching, and has pleaded not guilty. In court on Friday, a man referred to as Complainant C testified he worked as Jones's driver in the mid-2000s after being offered forty thousand dollars a year, describing duties that included preparing soft-boiled eggs with bread soldiers, cleaning the radio host's bathroom, and ironing his underpants. The Guardian reports the trial continues, with the complainant testifying he felt star-struck when first offered the job.
