Lebanon and Israel signed a fourteen-point framework agreement on Friday in Washington, aiming to end fighting between Israel and Hezbollah. According to legal experts interviewed by The Guardian, the agreement could prevent war crime victims from pursuing accountability and may block the International Criminal Court from establishing jurisdiction in Lebanon—something human rights advocates had pushed for to prosecute alleged Israeli war crimes.
