Ukraine: Civilian casualties hit highest level since May 2022

Russian strikes on eastern Ukraine killed at least one person and wounded fifteen in Kramatorsk, while a separate attack on Zaporizhzhia in the southeast injured two more, according to France 24. The strikes come as Moscow escalates its long-range attacks, and per France 24, the United Nations reports that civilian deaths in Ukraine last month reached their highest level since shortly after Russia's full-scale invasion in twenty twenty-two. Even passenger trains have come under fire in recent days, France 24 notes.
