Twin Guitar-Playing Robots Will Work for Tab

tech

A maker has spent six years developing the MegCell Pulse, a pair of guitar-playing robots that work in tandem — one fretting while the other plucks. The system uses gears and magnetic actuators in a three D printed frame to translate digital tablature into acoustic sound on a physical instrument. While the robots can't traverse the entire fretboard or slide between notes, Hackaday reports the creator is selling complete plans and code via Kickstarter for just one hundred dollars, though buyers must print and assemble the kit themselves.
