The US has struck multiple Iranian military targets, including surveillance infrastructure, communications systems, and air defense sites, according to The Guardian. The Saturday strikes were direct retaliation for Iranian drone attacks on Friday against a cargo ship in the Strait of Hormuz—which were themselves a response to an earlier drone strike. US Central Command says the operation targeted Iranian military surveillance, communications, air defense, drone storage, and minelayer capabilities.
