U.S. launches fresh Iran strikes as Trump threatens to "complete the job"
world
According to Axios, the U.S. military is conducting a second wave of strikes against Iranian military targets in the Strait of Hormuz within twenty-four hours. The action comes in retaliation for an Iranian drone attack on a commercial tanker carrying more than two million barrels of crude oil. American forces targeted Iranian surveillance infrastructure, communications systems, air defense installations, drone storage facilities, and minelayer capabilities. This escalation threatens a U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding and risks further instability along one of the world's most critical shipping lanes. According to a statement from U.S. Central Command, Iran was given an opportunity to honor the ceasefire agreement but chose not to.
