EU sends aircraft and villagers evacuate as Belgium battles record wildfire

Belgium is battling one of its worst wildfires on record, with the blaze scorching more than twenty-seven hundred hectares of land, France 24 reports. Hundreds of villagers were placed under evacuation orders as the fire grew rapidly late Saturday. The EU responded by scrambling helicopters and water bombers to help bring the flames under control.
