More women will die if domestic abusers leave prison early, victim’s parents warn

Michaela Hall's parents are warning that more women will die if the government includes domestic abusers in its early prison release scheme, arguing the Probation Service cannot cope with mass releases. The Guardian reports that Hall, a forty-nine-year-old charity worker, was killed in her Cornwall home by her partner Lee Kendall in twenty twenty-one, just two weeks after he was freed from a sentence for assaulting her.
