A dangerous heat wave is spreading across Europe. According to the Guardian World, more than one hundred ninety-one million people are currently facing temperatures above thirty-five degrees Celsius, with extreme heat warnings from Germany to Hungary. As the wave moves eastward, Poland, Czechia, and Slovakia are bracing for record temperatures—forecast to exceed forty degrees Celsius. The heat wave has already been linked to hundreds of deaths in western Europe.
