Complaints filed to police watchdog over Met’s handling of Al Fayed abuse allegations

According to The Guardian, survivors of alleged abuse by late Harrods owner Mohamed Al Fayed have filed complaints to a police watchdog over how the Metropolitan Police handled their allegations. The Independent Office for Police Conduct has received complaints from three survivors regarding the force's response to claims of sexual misconduct spanning from nineteen seventy-seven to twenty fourteen. More than four hundred people have made allegations against Al Fayed, including rape and human trafficking. The watchdog is now investigating the Met's handling of these cases.
