Somali army repels troups loyal to ousted leader and Islamist insurgents

Somali national forces repelled an assault on the key city of Baidoa on Monday, fending off troops loyal to an ousted regional leader alongside Islamist insurgents. France 24 reports the attackers used vehicles laden with explosives, and the government says its forces killed nearly thirty militants in the response.
