More than 1,300 excess deaths linked to record-breaking Europe heatwave, WHO says

According to the World Health Organization, Europe's record-breaking heatwave has been linked to more than one thousand three hundred excess deaths since June twenty-first. In France alone, health officials reported around one thousand additional deaths compared to what would normally be expected since last Wednesday. The extreme temperatures continue to pose a serious public health threat across the continent.
