Former Milei advisor Fernando Cerimedo detained in Bolivia over armed attack
world
A former digital strategist for Argentine President Javier Milei, Fernando Cerimedo, was detained Tuesday at Viru Viru Airport in Bolivia as he tried to board a flight to Buenos Aires. The Buenos Aires Herald reports investigators are examining possible links between Cerimedo and Monday night's armed attack on his former partner, Bolivian activist and lawyer Nadia Beller, who was shot three times outside a hotel in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. Police say two men posing as delivery workers carried out the shooting before fleeing on a motorcycle, and Beller is now hospitalized but listed in stable condition. Cerimedo, who also worked on Jair Bolsonaro's presidential campaign, had been in Bolivia advising President Rodrigo Paz at the time of his arrest.
