Only one workout helped older adults lose fat without losing muscle

High-intensity interval training might be the secret to aging better. According to Science Daily, a study of adults in their seventies found that HIIT was uniquely effective at reducing body fat while preserving lean muscle mass. Other workouts reduced fat too, but only HIIT maintained the muscle—which becomes increasingly important with age.
