Securing wireless communication in next-generation devices
science
MIT News reports that researchers have developed a compact device that generates pairs of tightly correlated microwave signals at room temperature, eliminating the need for bulky cryogenic cooling. The team demonstrated secure communications by encoding an image in one signal and decoding it with its partner. This breakthrough could pave the way for room-temperature quantum simulators and advanced radar and sensing technologies.
