Replay: MTG-I2 pre-launch media briefing

ESA Space News reports that on Wednesday, media representatives attended a pre-launch briefing for the next Meteosat Third Generation Imager satellite, MTG-I2. The satellite is scheduled to launch on an Ariane 6 from Europe's Spaceport in French Guiana on August twenty-seventh. It's the third satellite in the MTG series, completing the constellation, which will produce weather images for Europe in unprecedented detail. The imager carries a Lightning Imager and a Flexible Combined Imager, with the latter able to scan Europe and northern Africa every two and a half minutes, supporting timely warnings for severe weather.
