2016 ISSM Workshop

NASA Science is reporting on the 2016 Ice Sheet System Model Workshop, held at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography in La Jolla, California. The three-day event offered interactive sessions for beginners and advanced users, with tutorials on using altimetry data and simulating ice shelf evolution. Data assimilation and inverse methods were also central, and participants shared their research in poster sessions. The workshop, hosted by Scripps with NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory and UC Irvine, aimed to strengthen connections within the cryosphere research community.
