world
Meduza reports that Russia launched two drone strikes on Kyiv on August twentieth, killing at least seventeen people. The first, a massive combined attack overnight, left fifteen dead and damaged dozens of buildings, including homes, a school and a kindergarten. A second strike in the evening caused debris to ignite fires in the Holosiivskyi district, killing two and injuring at least two more, while officials warned residents that air quality had temporarily worsened. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in his evening address that Ukraine will definitely respond, describing the forthcoming action as just and long-range.
