Catholic Schools NSW boss sacked after appearance at Icac inquiry into alleged Liberal party corruption

According to The Guardian, the chief executive of Catholic Schools NSW, Dallas McInerney, was dismissed following his appearance before a watchdog inquiry into alleged state Liberal party corruption. The Guardian reports that the NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption is probing claims he approved illegal political donations from schools to firms linked to the conservative Reformers group under the pretense of consultancy work. Per The Guardian, the commission says the investigation remains ongoing as it seeks to determine the full extent of the alleged conduct.
