ServiceTitan Just Shut Off Podium’s Integration for ~1,000 Shared Customers. Why? Agents Turned a 9-Year Partner Into a Direct Competitor.

saas

SaaStr reports that ServiceTitan gave roughly one thousand shared customers a thirty‑day notice that its integration with Podium would be disabled, right in the middle of peak HVAC season. ServiceTitan, a leading field‑service management platform for home‑service contractors, updated its API terms in April to bar AI systems from independently choosing endpoints or modifying data, and the shutdown reflects Podium’s shift from a communication layer to a direct competitor with its own AI‑driven field service management product. The integration had previously synced contacts, leads, payments and conversations into ServiceTitan, making the platform stickier for contractors. ServiceTitan’s policy change was published about seven weeks before the notice, leaving contractors to scramble for alternatives during their busiest weeks.
