BT and Verizon to create joint global business in $625m deal

BT and Verizon announced a partnership combining their international operations into a fifty-fifty joint venture. Verizon will pay six hundred twenty-five million dollars to BT, securing equal voting rights in the new company. The joint venture will serve more than three thousand customers across approximately one hundred eighty countries, with combined annual revenue of four billion dollars. The deal concludes BT's eighteen-month search for a buyer of its international business.
