Webb Opens Treasure Chest

science

NASA News reports that the James Webb Space Telescope captured an infrared image of part of the Carina Nebula on August sixth. The image highlights a feature called the 'Treasure Chest,' which is a cometary globule — an isolated cloud of gas and dust with a dense, dark head and a sweeping tail. The Carina Nebula is also home to the Cosmic Cliffs.
