Psychonauts Developer Double Fine Gets Rights To Games Back, But Union Future Uncertain

Double Fine, the studio behind Psychonauts, has officially regained its independence and the rights to its intellectual property from Microsoft. According to Aftermath, the developer plans to celebrate this new chapter by launching a Kickstarter on August thirty-first to fund a return of its internal game jam, Amnesia Fortnight. However, the studio's labor efforts have stalled; the CWA reports that workers withdrew their petition to unionize shortly after filing it in May.
