Paramount's Warner Bros. bid and threat to leave California divide Hollywood

business

According to PBS NewsHour, California's attorney general and eleven other states have sued to block a proposed one hundred eleven billion dollars merger between Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery. The move prompted David Ellison, head of Paramount Skydance, to say the company might relocate its operations out of California if the deal isn’t approved. PBS NewsHour notes that William Brangham recently spoke with Matthew Belloni of Puck News about the unfolding dispute. The conflict underscores rising scrutiny of mega‑media combinations in the state.
