100 UK, French ex-ambassadors accuse Israel of ethnic cleansing in open letter

France 24 says more than one hundred former British and French ambassadors have signed an open letter addressed to the French President and the British Prime Minister. The diplomats allege Israel is erasing Palestine and they are calling for a ban on trade and arms sales to pressure Israel to accept a Palestinian state. Among the signatories is Sir Vincent Fean, a former consul‑general in Jerusalem, who says the letter is intended to spur those measures.
