PM Shehbaz takes notice of non-functional CTA machine at PIM's cardiology dept; Imran's related test not performed

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Saturday that the computed tomography angiography scanner in the cardiology wing of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences is not working, after former premier Imran Khan’s recommended test could not be performed. Dawn reports that the prime minister has set up an inquiry committee, led by the Establishment Division secretary, to review the hospital’s technical capacity, referral procedures and any possible diversion of patients to private centres. The committee is tasked with submitting its findings so that appropriate action can be taken, according to the premier’s directive.
