According to the Associated Press, Pakistani airstrikes have killed thirty-six civilians and wounded one hundred sixty others in Afghanistan. Pakistan says the strikes targeted militant hideouts along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in response to militant attacks across Pakistan. However, Afghanistan's government condemned the strikes as acts of aggression.
