Researchers have developed a mouldable glass screen that could transform how mammograms are conducted. According to Physics World, the new device produces higher-resolution X-ray images while significantly reducing the radiation dose patients receive. Because the glass can be shaped to the patient's body, it promises both clearer diagnostic images and greater comfort during an already uncomfortable procedure.
