According to Euronews, cigarette maker British American Tobacco is eliminating five thousand five hundred positions worldwide, while shifting additional roles to outside contractors. The moves are central to a major cost-cutting overhaul as the company attempts to pivot toward newer nicotine products like vapes and pouches, as traditional cigarette sales continue their long-term decline.
