The Guardian reports that the Victorian opposition leader has announced a plan for a new court of criminal appeal, designed to ensure tougher sentences. The court would give effect to new bail and sentencing laws, with each sentence forming part of case law going forward. In the same live blog, the Powerhouse Parramatta museum, a project twelve years and nine hundred fifteen million dollars in the making, has unveiled its inaugural exhibition program, featuring immersive experiences like a crystal tunnel and historic aeroplanes. The museum is set to open its doors in November.
