The Guardian reports that campaigners warn the proposed expansion of Heathrow Airport could threaten the survival of England's largest surviving medieval timber-framed barn. The six-hundred-year-old New Barn at Harmondsworth, a remarkable example of medieval architecture, could be 'shaken to pieces' by aircraft vibrations, they say. The public has until the first of September to submit objections to the proposal.
