According to The Guardian, rescue teams from Venezuela, Mexico, and El Salvador coordinated a complex operation to save Aaron Levi Cantillo Vargas, a twenty-one-year-old man who had been trapped under rubble in Caraballeda for more than four days. El Salvador's president called the successful rescue a miracle, and Vargas is now receiving specialized medical care. A four point six magnitude aftershock struck near the capital today with no additional damage reported.
