Pakistani strikes kill at least 28 civilians in Afghanistan, UN says

The BBC reports that Pakistani military strikes have killed at least twenty-eight civilians in Afghanistan today. According to the United Nations, the strikes occurred near the Pakistani border. Pakistan says it was targeting militants in the area, but Afghanistan's Taliban government has condemned the operation as an atrocity.
