Curiosity Blog, Sols 4982–4987: Back to Our Regularly Scheduled Programming
science
NASA Science reports that the Curiosity rover has resumed its climb up Mount Sharp after a detour to study an erosional surface. The rover used its instruments to examine bedrock targets, including brushing one for analysis, and captured images of layered rock formations. As fall arrives in Gale Crater, the mission is also keeping an eye out for late-season dust storms. Curiosity is now set to continue driving southwest, with a planned trek of about one hundred fifty feet, and the team will return to more contact science and remote sensing next week.
