Former aide to Taliban commander Mullah Nazir group killed in Lower South Waziristan

A former aide to the late Taliban commander Mullah Nazir was killed after unidentified gunmen opened fire on his vehicle in Lower South Waziristan. As Dawn tells it, the victim, Muhammad Khalid, died from his injuries while being transported for medical treatment, and a second man was wounded in the attack. Local police have launched an investigation but have not yet identified the shooters or a motive.
